Submission Guidelines
Thank you for your interest in submitting your work to Avari Press.
We have tried to make our submission guidelines as convenient as possible for writers. Our editors will take approximately 6-8 weeks to fully evaluate your submission, and your patience is sincerely appreciated during this process.
Effective July 1, 2008, we only accept electronic submissions. Please use our contact form to request the proper email address for submissions. To reduce spam, we cannot post it here. Select “Submission Address Request” from the Message Subject dropdown box on the contact form, and enter “address request” in the Message box. An automated email response will immediately be sent to you with complete submission guidelines.
When you receive our automated response with the current submission email address, please send all of the following items in one email—without an attachment. Emails with attachments will be deleted without being read.
Please enter “Submission - [Author Name] - [Title of Book]” in the subject line.
Please include all of the following information in your email:
- The title of your book
- Your name, and complete contact information—postal address (street, city, state, postal code, country), phone numbers, etc.
- Your email address—It is very important that you give us your accurate email address as this is our preferred method of communication.
- Synopsis—Please provide a complete synopsis of your book, which conveys all pertinent details of the plot. Please do not leave out any “surprise endings.” You must give us a complete summary of your story.
- Book Description—This is a description which would appear on the back cover of your book. If we accept your book, we will work closely with you to create an effective blurb for the back cover, but we’d like you to create a preliminary version for your submission.
- Approximate number of words of your manuscript.
- The first three chapters of your manuscript. Please do not include this as an attachment. Please cut and paste all text into the body of the email.
